Our Play

As a surfing, yoga, ocean and nature-loving family, Kauai can feel like living in a playground. Our three kids have grown up as island kids, playing barefoot outside and on the beach. Very artistic with incredible imaginations, they collectively love riding bikes, skating, surfing, reading, music, cooking, animals, and being with their friends. They are entering the teenage years and one has flown the nest.

Business aside, Chad is a doting husband, father, yogi, pho soup lover, soul surfer, cyclist, artist, and overall adventure seeker. Cate is a hands-on mother, yogini/teacher, artist, runner, aspiring writer, and travel junkie.

When we do get "small kine" island fever, traveling is our happy place! It's exceptionally important to us, as parents, to show our kids that the world is much larger than this little slice of paradise in the Pacific.

PETSITTING---HOUSESITTING---CARETAKING

We've discovered an amazing way to blend our skillsets with travel, and will happily consider housesitting, petsitting, ranch/farm caretaking, exchanging our expertise for experiences. As our work (building/designing/real estate) extensively involves taking care of homes, it's in our DNA to love and nurture the places we stay.

We've tended farms in New Zealand, cared for donkeys and wallabies near Byron Bay, watered vineyards & monitored vats for a winery near Melbourne, and handled chickens, dogs, cats for families worldwide. Our youngest daughter is our "animal whisperer" who spends hours cuddling, giving love, and playing fetch. We can help with animal care, building and plumbing repairs, guest check-ins, website editing/marketing, bill pay/mail collection, vehicle maintenance, and more.

OFF-ISLAND PROJECTS---ECO BUILDING

We prefer "slow travel" and are open to working on longer term projects that feel aligned. Of special interest are ventures related to homesteading, eco-building, retreat centers, and creative endeavors that enhance the wellbeing of the earth and its inhabitants. We have extensive experience in property management, our children especially love animals, and we all love international adventures!

GOT AN ECO-PROJECT FOR SALE?

We are seeking a unique property with acreage, to create a homestead experience/retreat opportunity. Ideally with fertile soil, a fresh water source (stream/river) with temperate/warm climate, near surf. Open to international locations, and/or unique land sharing opportunities on Kauai.
